Engr. E. E. Ekanem holds the B.Eng. (Hons) Degree, of the University of Benin, in Mechanical Engineering (1975); a Corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineer and Registered Engineer of The Council for the Regulation of Engineering of Nigeria (COREN).

Engr. E. E. Ekanem has been a corporate player since graduation. He has acquired expertise and experience relevant to corporate management & governance.

He expresses strategic thinking, planning and leadership skills, with proficiency in engagement, collaboration and consultation.

He has an understanding and appreciation of the broader policy contexts of the delivery and planning of top management functions. His high level of performance in his various fields of endeavour has placed him in good stead for referencing.

He reflects a high degree of integrity and standing in the community with demonstrated values of acting in good faith and in the best interests of the organization where he serves.

He has several years experience in engineering practice and Industrial Management, having worked in the following organizations- Shell Nigeria Plc; Forex (Oil Drilling) Nig. Ltd and PZ Cussons Plc, where he served as Group Risk Management Advisor in the last three years of service before retirement.

He attended several oversea Management Training Programmes & Workshops at Coventry Business School, England and Bristol Institute of Management, England. Also, within Nigeria, he at various times attended Management Training Programmes & Workshops organized by the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), and PZ Cussons Group Management Training Institution.

Presently, he is the Lead Consultant/Chairman Emil Consulting Ltd with the following major Industrial Clients-Karisto Nig Ltd, Aba, J. Udeagbala Holdings Ltd, Aba, Quality Ceramics Ltd, Uyo, Crunchies Fried Chicken, Aba, Intels Nig Ltd, Port Harcourt, Genesis Nig Ltd, Port Harcourt, Valleumbra Flour Mills Ltd, Aba, PZCussons Plc, Aba.

He is a Director and member of the Board.
